Eccleshall's match day secretary Graham Moss (pictured left) has received the 'Special Contribution to Sport Award 2009' at the recent Stafford Borough Sports Awards.

Graham, who is 65, has been with Eccleshall for over 8 years.  He is also currently Chairman of the Stafford & District Sunday League and also involved with the Uttoxeter League Sunday side Red Lion (Stone).

Graham won the award for his contribution to sport over the last 40 years which included playing into his 60's.

Graham also supplies Eccleshall secretary Richard Marsh with a comprehensive match report on the club's games which Richard then prepares for the Stafford press.

Richard said:  "Graham has threatened to retire before now and we have managed to persuade him to carry on his duties at the club. It would be a massive loss if he ever went as people like him are worth their weight in gold,

"Club helpers like Graham come along once in a life time and he is a God send on the admin side on match days."
