“Not only will they act as ball boys and ball girls, hey will be given the full match day experience with the players and club officials. Winsford United – the Blues have received FA approval to move the proposed date of any replay required in their FA Vase Second Round tie against Morpeth Town from the Northern League.

At this stage of the competition, any replays needed after the Saturday games end in draws would normally be scheduled for midweek, but as Winsford Secretary Bob Astles observed: “The two clubs couldn’t be much further apart in the Northern Section of the draw, and we were facing the possibility of a midweek replay in the event of a draw, which would mean a 200-mile journey through the rush hour traffic on the M62 and M1.

“We made an appeal to the FA, and they have agreed that if a replay is needed, it will take place on the following Saturday”.

Padiham – the club house at the Arbories will be used as a polling station on Thursday 15th November for the Police and Crime Commissioner elections that are being held that day. The club will be open all the way through from 7 am to 10 pm.
