AFC Darwen finally hosted their first game of 2011 against Atherton Collieries on Tuesday night.

The last time the Anchor Ground had seen first team action before then was the 26th October, and up to this week it was the ground that had gone the longest time without hosting a competitive first team league or cup game this season.

However, it might be a surprise for many to learn that there are still seven other clubs waiting to play their first home game in 2011.  Eagle eyed League Statistician Paul Cowburn has come up with the list below, which shows the clubs involved and the date they last played a home first team game:

Stone Dominoes - 13th November

Leek CSOB - 20th November

Atherton LR - 23rd November

Silsden - 11th December

Wigan Robin Park - 11th December

Irlam - 11th December

Barnoldswick Town - 14th December

Ashton Town would have made the list had it been produced before Tuesday, with their home game against Daisy Hill being their first home game since 11th December.  However, their temporary tenants St Helens Town have fared better in recent weeks, having played at Edge Green Street three times since their landlords last saw action before Tuesday.
