The weather once again reared its ugly head this midweek with just a handful of matches going ahead following last weekend's full fixture list.
Tuesday evening saw Squires Gate come from behind to defeat Barnoldswick Town 3-1 in the NWCFL Premier Division.
Meanwhile, in the First Division South league leaders Vauxhall Motors continued their superb form beating Maine Road 3-1 - three second half goals turned the game around.
322 fans turned out for the Mid Cheshire Senior Cup Semi Final between Witton Albion and 1874 Northwich, but it was the Northern Premier League outfit who were the winners - 3-1 in the end.
Wednesday saw Northwich Victoria and Winsford United thrash out a 1-all draw in the top flight, whilst Golcar United and Ashton Town put on a real show, with the home side coming out 5-3 victors in the First Division North.
Lastly, Runcorn Town exited the Liverpool Senior Cup Quarter-Final as they lost 2-0 to Tranmere Rovers - 111 spectators watched on.
The action returns on Saturday with 26 ties up and down the region.
