PREVIEW: NWCFL Premier Division, First Division North and South

Twenty-nine games are due to take place this weekend over the three divisions with Nelson and Atherton Laburnum Rovers the only two sides without a fixture.
The weekend’s action starts in Division One North with a Friday fixture this week as twelfth place Golcar United entertain St Helens Town. Due to all the wet weather recently though this fixture will be hosted at the Vestacare Stadium, the home of Avro.
Avro will also be playing on their 3G pitch this weekend as they welcome bottom of the table Litherland REMYCA on Saturday afternoon in the Premier Division.
Second from bottom Burscough will be looking to build on their recent four points in their last two games as they visit high flying Charnock Richard who have won five of their last six games. Eighteenth place Hanley Town, also looking to climb away from the bottom, visit eighth place Irlam and seventeenth place Padiham will be looking for their second consecutive win as they host sixteenth Skelmersdale Town.
At the top of the table 1874 Northwich will be looking to extend their fourteen games unbeaten run as they welcome seventh place Runcorn Town who have won their last four games. Second place Bootle are at home on Saturday and have won their last six without conceding in their last three. They have a tough game as they welcome fourth place Ashton Athletic who are unbeaten in their last seven games.
Barnoldswick Town, who currently sit in fifteenth place, will be looking for their first goal in three games on Saturday when they welcome eleventh place Northwich Victoria to the Silentnight Stadium who lost their last match at home to Rylands.
Elsewhere in the league fourteenth place Congleton Town host ninth place Whitchurch Alport, sixth place Rylands host mid-table Squires Gate and thirteenth place Winsford United entertain fifth place Longridge Town
In the North Division, eight games take place with Garstang hosting Cleator Moor Celtic being the standout game as both teams look to pull away from the bottom. Garstang have lost their last four games coming into these fixtures whilst their visitors arrive at The Riverside with two points from their last four league outings.
At the bottom of the table, Steeton will know what they have to do to climb off the foot of the league with St Helens Town playing on Friday night. It’ll be a tough ask for a Steeton side who have lost four of their last six games as they travel to second place Emley who haven’t conceded a league goal in their last three matches.
Top of the table Lower Breck will be wanting to extend their four-game unbeaten run as they welcome tenth place AFC Darwen to the Anfield Sports Community Centre. Elsewhere in Liverpool AFC Liverpool, who have scored four in their last three matches, welcome AFC Blackpool, who have lost their last three games.
Fourth place Shelley have won five of their last six matches and travel to seventh place Prestwich Heys who are unbeaten in their last five games. Fifth place Daisy Hill welcome eleventh place Holker Old Boys who have won their last three games scoring thirteen goals and sixth place Ashton Town host thirteenth place Chadderton.
Eighth place Pilkington, who drew their last match away at Cleator Moor Celtic, host fifteenth place Bacup Borough, who have picked up eight points from their last six games.
In Division One South a full programme of fixtures are taking place on Saturday, once again weather dependent.
At the top of the division, Vauxhall Motors welcome tenth place Stockport Town, fourteen days after the reverse fixture in which Town lost 3-2.
The standout game in the division for Saturday has to be at Wellbeing Park were third-place Stone Old Alleynians welcome second-place FC Oswestry Town. The visitors have won their last four games scoring thirteen goals in the process whilst the hosts have won their last two games scoring eight goals along the way.
Fourth place Eccleshall travel to South Manchester to take on fifth-place West Didsbury & Chorlton. The visitors have lost their last two games coming into this fixture whilst West have seven points from their last three games.
At the bottom of the table basement club St Martins entertain thirteenth place Wythenshawe Amateurs looking for their first goal in four games. The hosts will also be looking for instant revenge against the team that beat them 5-0 on their last outing.
Second from bottom club Barnton, who have lost their last five games, travel to twelfth place Cheadle Heath Nomads, who have also lost five of their last six games. Ellesmere Rangers, who have conceded eleven goals in their last two games, will be looking at getting some more points on the board as they welcome eleventh place Cammell Laird 1907 who have lost their last seven fixtures in all competitions.
Seventeenth place Abbey Hulton United and fifteenth place New Mills go head to head at the Drayton Beaumont Park. The hosts have only recorded one win in their last six games and welcome an inform New Mills side who have four wins in their last six matches.
Elsewhere in the league ninth place Maine Road welcomes sixteenth place Alsager Town to Brantingham Road, fourteenth place Sandbach United host sixth-place Abbey Hey and seventh place Wythenshawe Town host eighth place Cheadle Town.
