Statement from the Hallmark Security League

Mon 8th April 2019 | Announcements
By Paul Lawler

The League Management Committee would like to clarify its position in relation to charges made against Padiham and Wythenshawe Town following the abandonment of separate games earlier in the season due to alleged racial comments made to players.

As is the case with matters of this nature, we refer these to the relevant County Football Associations to investigate and in turn they liaise with the FA. The League is not responsible for any discipline outcomes that result from any investigations.

We cannot comment on individual cases as some are still being actively investigated. We would like to highlight that we take allegations of this nature extremely seriously and do refer any cases to the FA to investigation as soon as we are made aware. Racism and all forms of discrimination cannot be tolerated at any level of the game and we will work with the relevant authorities, our players and clubs in order to educate on and eradicate this issue as best we can.
