A first half blitz from Curzon Ashton put paid to Chadderton's hopes of causing a cup upset in the Frank Hannah Manchester Premier Cup semi-final at Andrew Street.
Three goals ahead in 14 minutes, and five up at half time, the National League North side exposed the gap of 84 league places between the two teams with a terrific display of fast paced attacking football.
The warning signs for Chadderton were evident almost immediately, when Curzon's Luke Wall curled a shot just wide of the far post in the opening minute, and the deadlock was broken three minutes later when Oliver Crankshaw was felled in the box, and he dusted himself down and despatched the spot kick to put Curzon ahead.
Three minutes later, Crankshaw won another penalty when he was felled in the box by Chadderton's Steven Affleck, but he needed treatment off the pitch after the tackle and penalty taking responsibilities were passed to Luke Wall, who made no mistake.
Chadderton hit back and Jordan Butterworth produced a fine full length save from Curzon keeper Cameron Mason with a shot from the edge of the box, but on 14 minutes the visitors struck again.
Lewis Reiley pounced on a loose ball on the edge of the box, and his shot on the turn went through a ruck of players and under Chadderton keeper Dale Latham.
Curzon's pacy one touch football was tough for Chadderton to compete with, and their ability to conjure up chances was never better demonstrated than in the 28th minute, when Lewis Reiley almost beat Latham in the Chadderton goal with a shot from the half way line that had the Chadderton keeper scrambling back to keep out.
Chadderton's best effort of the game arrived just on the half hour mark, when a fine right wing cross from Jack Ward was met by a deft glancing header from Devon Matthews, but Curzon keeper Mason produced the save of the match to keep the ball out, diving full length to push the ball round the post.
But moments later Curzon increased their lead when an overlapping run and cross from full back Cameron McJannet set up John McAtee for a simple near post header to make it 4-0.
On the stroke of half time Lewis Reiley wrapped up a fine first half display from the visitors with a fifth goal, tapping in a driven cross from close range.
The pace of the game in the second half rather predictably dropped, but to their credit Chadderton kept going, and on the hour mark Jack Ward tested Mason in the Curzon goal with a shot that the keeper palmed away at the near post.
The opening score of the second half arrived on 67 minutes, with Luke Wall picking up the ball on the right wing, cutting inside at pace and finishing with a low shot into the far corner for the goal of the game.
With ten minutes remaining Reece Deakin made it 7-0 with a close range header, and Ryan Brooke wrapped up a fine night's work for Curzon with an opportunist eighth goal five minutes from time, when he reacted quickly to deliver a mid air back heel to direct the ball into the net.
