FA Development Grant - the League Management Committee were notified this week that the League has been awarded a grant of £5,000 from the FA.

The money will be allocated towards a number of initiatives outlined in the League Development Plan, including the review and improvement of the League's branding message, working partnerships and sponsorship deals.

1874 Northwich - the Greens' FA Vase Fifth Round tie against Chichester City will be played on Saturday 3rd February at Wincham Park, Northwich, home of Witton Albion FC.

The venue also staged the tie in the previous round against Pontefract Collieries.  If required, a replay will be played on Saturday 10th February, but if the original game is postponed for any reason, then a rearranged match would take place on Sunday 11th February, again at Wincham Park, as both Witton Albion and Winsford United are at home on the Saturday.

Runcorn Linnets - following further discussions with the organisers of Sunday's scheduled Under 19s match between RB Leipzig and Rangers, the game has been switched from the Millbank Linnets Stadium pitch to an alternative all-weather venue.

A Linnets spokesman said: "It is disappointing that we will not now be hosting the game but it was imperative with the two squads travelling so far to play that they were guaranteed a game without interference from the elements.

"Our hopes of staging games on successive afternoons in January were always dependent on the weather.

"With all this in mind, an early decision removes any uncertainty over the high profile fixture going ahead and we can continue planning for this Saturday's important home game against Charnock Richard in The Hallmark Security League with the hope that the recent heavy rain abates."

FC Oswestry Town - Town central defender Alun Morris has been signed by Cefn Druids, in the Welsh Premier League.

Club Secretary Andy Burnett said: "We are really gutted he has gone, but it is a really great oppertunity for Alun, so we at FC Oswestry Town wish him all the best.

"This really shows how we as a club have grown over the last 5 years, to have welsh premier League clubs interested in our players.  We also have Tze Nam Yue on trial at Swansea City".

Whitchurch Alport - in addition to their upcoming Shropshire Premier Challenge Cup semi-final, Alport also have another local cup semi-final to look forward to, on Wednesday 28th March, when they face Malpas FC in the Ethelston Cup.
