The Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie between Litherland REMYCA and AFC Liverpool this Saturday made football history when it was streamed live on the BBC.
The tie, which kicks off early as a result of the coverage, was shown live as BBC Sport is looking to give extra prominence to The Emirates FA Cup like never before.
For the first time in the competition's history, the BBC will be with the Competition from first kick to last starting with the Extra Preliminary Round.
Production of Saturday's game was via a single camera with commentary being done from the BBC Sports studio in Salford. The coverage generated significant coverage of a game which Litherland REMYCA won 2-0 against their local opponents.
