Results across the weekend's games had an impact on the movers and shakers at the top and bottom of both divisions.
In the Premier Division 1874 Northwich regained top spot, although they left it late at West Didsbury & Chorlton, with Rick Bailey grabbing a last minute winner in their single goal victory.
Runcorn Town moved into second place with a 2-0 win over Ashton Athletic at the Pavilions, with currently on fire striker Craig Cairns scoring both goals.
Atherton Collieries lost ground at the top and are now third after their 1-1 draw at home to Irlam on Friday night, former "Colls mon" Matty Boland putting putting the visitors ahead before Matt Grimshaw equalised.
A last minute winner from Joel Powell ensured Bootle emerged with all three points in beating Hanley Town 2-1 at the Delta Taxis Stadium, and they are in fourth place, two points ahead of Runcorn Linnets, who were sunk by a James Dean goal for Padiham at the YESSS Electrical Arena.
Elsewhere, the most emphatic win of the day was Abbey Hey's 7-0 defeat of Nelson, in which Omar McKenzie, George Noon and Nico Collins all scored twice.
AFC Liverpool shared a 1-1 draw at home to New Mills, Franny Smith putting the Reds ahead only for Millers joint-manager Daniel Douglas-Pringle to equalise five minutes later.
A Terry Cain goal 16 minutes from time wrapped up Winsford United's second win of the week, a 2-1 home victory over Barnoldswick Town, and in the relegation zone, AFC Darwen moved out of the bottom three after a last minute own goal earned them a valuable 3-3 draw at Congleton Town.
Second half gaols from Chris Smith and Jonathan Jones earned Barnton a very welcome 2-0 win at Squires Gate, and bottom of the table Cammell Laird 1907 picked up a point with a 1-1 draw at home to Maine Road.
The top of the First Division saw a bit of movement, with Charnock Richard moving to the top after a 3-1 win over an Eccleshall side depleted through illness to several players. It took second half goals from Mark Adams and Carl Grimshaw to seal the win, after the sides were ties at the break.
Whitchurch Alport are in second place after a 2-1 win over AFC Blackpool, a late goal from Mike Blundell clinching the points at Yockings Park.
City of Liverpool slipped down in to third place after a 1-0 defeat at Prestwich Heys, and Alsager Town are fourth after their good away run came to an end at Stockport Town. Two goals from Mark Grice had the Bullets in the driving seat at half time, but in the last three minutes goals from Warren Gaskin and Nathan Neequaye second of the game completed a stunning Town comeback to win 3-2.
Litherland REMYCA are fifth after a 4-0 win at Ashton Town, Niall Gannon and Adam Hughes both scoring twice, and the final play off place is occupied by Sandbach United, who won 2-0 at Bacup Borough thanks to goals from Matthew Pearson and a Daniel Bartle penalty.
Two goals from Ashley Stott helped Daisy Hill to a share of the points in a 2-2 draw against Widnes at New Sirs, and a long trip to Silsden proved to be fruitful for FC Oswestry Town, who made the journey back to Shropshire buoyed by a 3-0 win. Shaun Melusi, Liam Molloy and Brendan Price were on target for the visitors.
At one stage in their game at St Helens Town, Carlisle City were 3-1 down but a fine comeback saw manager James Tose and his assistant Jonathan Allan both score in the last seven minutes to clinch a 4-3 win.
Three second half goals saw Chadderton through to a 3-2 win at home to Holker Old Boys, and Rhys Webb scored twice for Cheadle Town in their 3-0 win at Atherton LR.
