Whitchurch Alport's hopes of becoming the first NWCFL side to reach the final of the Shropshire FA Premier Cup were ended in disappointing fashion at Shrewsbury Sports Village on Wednesday evening.
After going ahead against AFC Bridgnorth from the West Midlands Regional League Premier Division, Alport conceded an equaliser just before half time, and two second half goals earned Bridgnorth victory.
They now move on to a place in the final against Market Drayton Town from the Evo-Stik League Division One South.
The evening began promisingly for Whitchurch, who went ahead when Jordan Oldham got on the end of a corner kick to open the scoring.
It was a lead they held until shortly before half time, when Myles Arnold levelled for Bridgnorth to leave the teams tied at the break.
However, Bridgnorth took control in the second half, and after they took the lead through Simon Gregory 20 minutes from time, both sides were then reduced to ten men before Glenn Coney added a third goal in the final minute to seal a 3-1 victory.
