NWCFL Premier Division
| Burscough | 2-1 | Squires Gate |
Burscough manager Nick Matthews, "The lads were superb today, in truth we got our tactics wrong in our previous home against Avro and rightly got beat. We got off to a great start scoring after 2 mins through Chris Lomax; we controlled the game from then on.
"Defensively we were solid, and I still think we can look after the ball a bit better in the final third and be more clinical with chances we create, but all in all we set up to get three points and that's what we achieved."
| Litherland REMYCA | 3-0 | Congleton Town |
Litherland REMYCA manager Phil Stafford, "I thought today was a complete performance from our lads. Last week against Rylands we set our standards. Today we improved again. We have now got a squad that compete with anyone in the division.
"We have got another big test next week away to a very good Longridge side. If we apply ourselves the way we have the last two weeks then we are capable of picking up points there."
| Skelmersdale United | 2-1 | Bootle |
NWCFL First Division North
| AFC Darwen | 0-2 | Shelley |
Shelley manager Ash Berry, "A real tough battle against a good strong side in awful conditions with a blustery wind. But we defended well and took our chances."
| Lower Breck | 4-3 | Daisy Hill |
Lower Breck manager Gary Moore, "It was another hard-fought win today against a much improved Daisy Hill side who took a 2-0 and 3-2 lead in the game.
"Whilst giving them all the credit they certainly deserve we weren't at the races today (especially first half) with a few lads individual performances being way below the standard they have set themselves over the last few months.
"But whilst being critical we still managed to find a way to win and the introduction of Ste Milne at half time proved the catalyst for that.
"Wins at this stage of the season however way they come are welcomed with open arms but we no we have to be much better over the coming weeks to maintain our position at the top of the table."
Daisy Hill manager Brian Hart, "Decent game in tough conditions. Both teams having a go. We gave ourselves a good platform going in at half-time one up then scoring first to make it two. As is usual when that happens your vulnerable to conceiving and we did. Great strike but beat keeper on the near post which was disappointing.
"That gave them momentum and we stood off and got punished 2-2. We got a penalty to put us back in front but two lapses of concentration late on generously gave them the points.
"Great game for the neutrals but we shot ourselves in the foot. Go again Monday against AFC Liverpool."
| St Helens Town | 1-3 | Prestwich Heys |
St Helens Town manager David Platt, "Not at our best today. We didn't take the same work within into the game like last week and it hurt us. We were unlucky to concede a deflected goal early on but there was no luck with their second, a great turn and finish.
"Prestwich are one of the better teams we've faced this year and had several stand out players where most teams have one or two. We can be pleased with some things we did but ultimately we didn't put things together often enough to matter."
