A couple of milestones to mention this week 

AFC Liverpool recorded their 200th league win on Saturday as they defeated Chadderton 4-1. Northwich Victoria played their 100th game as they drew 1-1 at Padiham and Kevin Pollard’s 70th minute equaliser was also their 200th league goal.

Ryan Siddal’s 62nd minute goal for Bacup Borough was the 400th home league goal in Division One North this season. Matthew Thomas hit a 65th minute winner for Stone Old Alleynians at Cheadle Town on Wednesday night which was the 300th Away goal in the First Division South and Patrick Davin’s 31st minute strike for Cheadle Town at home to Alsager was the 300th first half goal in Division One South. In Division One North, Chadderton’s Rhys Hardacre hit an 8th minute goal at AFC Liverpool which was the 300th first half goal in that division.

Goal Scoring Heroes This Week

Let’s start with what must be the best/worst Christmas present for Ryan Shenton of Barnoldswick. He hit all four of his team’s goals, only to see eight go in at the other end as 1874 Northwich won 8-4, this also created the League’s highest number of goals in a game this season (12). Lee Knight also hit a hat-trick for 1874 in the same game.

James Boyd hit all three of Squires Gate’s goals in their 3-1 home win against Winsford on Tuesday night.
