Wythenshawe Town 5-2 Goole AFC

James Kinsey, Wythenshawe Town manager, "It was another dominant performance. Goole was unbeaten this season so we knew it was going to be a tough game. We got an early goal but then had a spell where we over complicated things and they've punished us to turn the game around and go 2-1 up.

"There's a winning mentality about the group now though and we just went through the gears from there. 5-2 could have been 7 or 8 but for their keeper so it wasn't a result that flattered us. Skelmersdale away in the next round won't be easy, but hopefully, we can get a bit of a run going and who knows."

Prestwich Heys 1-0 1874 Northwich

Prestwich Heys Coach Cathal Mcloughlin, "Prior to the game we knew this was going to be a tough challenge, however, we were 5 unbeaten in the league prior to this game so we were taking a lot of positive points into the game. We knew a few key players were missing and this gave an opportunity for our younger lads to break into the team. Our players knew what we expected of them prior to the game and we stuck by our game plan thoroughly.

"At times we got lucky, and had to soak up a lot of pressure deep in the final third, but our players matched 1874 throughout the full game. Our defensive line was solid including an exceptional performance from Russ, who displayed a masterclass performance in goal. Against the run of play, we took the lead after a great finish from Picks. The players settled as this took some pressure off us and we began to play our football. The quality of our players was shown both on and off the ball, and we looked very dangerous on the counter-attack. Individual performances were of the highest quality, but each player gave 100% and that's all we ask week in week out.

"Late in the game became very end to end and we just tried to counter-attack on the transition using the speed we have going forward, which threatened 1874. The game was a reflection of all the hard work and resilience the players have shown since the start of pre-season. We welcome the visit of Charnock Richard to Adie Moran Park in the next round. That's now 6 unbeaten in all competitions of Heys."

Abbey Hulton United 3-2 Tipton Town

Abbey Hulton United manager Russell Leadbeatter, "Good result for the club today. Wasn't our best performance in the final third and we conceded two sloppy goals which showed our lapse in concentration twice. Overall we controlled the game having at least 3/4 of the possession.

"Should have been a cricket score but we failed to take our chances, which is something we're constantly working on. But the lads kept going coming from behind twice and managed to get the winner late on. A good win for the club all round. Fair play to Tipton they never gave up and took their chances when they had them. Onto the league cup next week against Ellesmere."

Swallownest 0-2 Vauxhall Motors

Vauxhall manager Mick McGraa, "First half was very tight not many chances for either team pitch was very difficult for both teams to get the ball down and play.

"Whilst in the second half Swallownest started brightly and had some good chances to score but as the game went on we started to dominate the game and eventually got a pen and managed the rest of the game well very tough game great win."

 Longridge Town 5-2 Newcastle University

Lee Ashcroft, Longridge Town manager, "It was important we put a performance on after Wednesday loss in the FA Cup. I thought in spells today we were very good.

"It's great to progress and now face a difficult game against AFC Blackpool in the next round. It's been a busy month but overall I'm proud of my players and staff."

Cammell Laird 1907 2-3 Charnock Richard

Charnock manager Ryan Donnellan, "We made hard work of it today after going 1-0 up early. We let them back into the game far too easy but the players reacted well in the second half and we deserved the win. Sometimes you have to grind a result out. Well, look forward to going to Prestwich Heys in the next round."

Rylands 6-0 Athersley Recreation

Ryland's manager David McNabb, "We started the game very well and got the first goal early on. Some of the football played today, particularly the first half was frightening and the players deserve all the credit. The first half was probably some of the best football we’ve played so far this season and it was a joy to watch at times.

"Second half wasn’t as good and the tempo dropped a little but that’s to be expected. Fair play to Athersley as well who didn’t give up and worked really hard Ultimately, we’re in the hat for the next round and that’s all that matters."

Parkgate 2-3 Chadderton

Chadderton manager David Fish, "After a disappointing bank holiday weekend it was important to get things back on track today. We lost at Parkgate at the same stage last season and shortly after they changed their management team and strengthened. They have also started the season well so this was never going to be an easy game. The pitch was as close to perfect as you'll get at this level and that suited us.

"We moved the ball around well and our full-backs found a lot of space which we were able to exploit. Parkgate had several good spells in the game but we defended well, showed discipline in keeping a good shape and when needed Jordan Hadlow made a couple of good saves. We also created a lot and looked more threatening once we entered the final third than we have in recent games. All three goals were different in style and nature, and we showed an ability to both counter and play through a team. The pick of the goals was definitely the opener; a good ball by Jordan Butterworth from within our half to open up the defence and superb skill from Liam Chambers to beat his man and volley home. With a few players missing through injury and suspension it shows the depth of the squad.

"All the players showed good character and resolve to bounce back from a disappointing run of four games and there were lots of good performances. On a personal level, it feels good to break my duck as a manager in the Vase.

Skelmersdale United 5-2 New Mills

Skelmersdale United manager Paul McNally, "Not our best performance this season but we are into the next round and that’s all that matters, credit to New Mills for a great performance and we wish them good luck for the season."
