West Didsbury & Chorlton - West's Jack Sergeant and Jamie Coombes will return to Brookburn Road this week, after being with the Gibraltar national squad for their recent international fixtures.

A Euro 2020 qualifier against the Republic of Ireland last Saturday was followed by a freindly with Estonia on Tuesday night, and both games at the Victoria Stadium ended in 1-0 defeats for Gibraltar.

Both players added to their tally of international caps, with Jack playing the whole 90 minutes in both games, while Jamie was an unused substitute against the Irish and came on for the last 20 minutes against Estonia.

1874 Northwich - club members have been asked to vote on their preferred choice of a new away kit for next season.

After a 20 day consultation period, the club received a huge number of suggestions for kits with a wide variety of designs.

The main colour options that appeared most frequently were:

  • Lilac/light purple
  • Light blue
  • Light grey
  • Pink

Members now have until the 1st April to vote on their preference for the main away kit colour

Speaking on the club website, Media Officer Matthew Waters said: "We really want to create a memorable kit which has a story and means something to each and every 1874 fan on a match day.

"We will keep fans updated and make another statement shortly when the colour choice has been announced and to inform you on the next few stages we will go through".

Lower Breck - one of the Breck’s loyal supporters recently raised £1300 on a sponsored walk from New Brighton to Southport.

Colin Smith was raising money for Parkinsons Disease charities, and the club presented him with a donation of over £150 to his fund at the game with Prestwich Heys.

Colin, a Breck stalwart who attends every game with his son Jack. also received donations from groundhoppers who read about his walk in the club's match day programme and he thanks all who got in contact to show support for his chosen charity.

Prestwich Heys - Salford City have agreed to pass on their existing dressing room accommodation which consists of three dressing rooms, two team and a smaller match officials’ container, to Heys.

The move comes after brand new dressing rooms were opened at their Moor Lane base.

Heys Secretary, Scott White said: “We have had to wait until the construction of Salford's new dressing room complex before we could confirm anything and we have since been busy getting quotes for their removal and relocation.

“Due to their location, the costs are much higher than we had hoped, around £4k, but they are worth more than twice that.

"The containers are only a few years old, and are easily converted, initial thoughts are to convert one into a new toilet block and the smaller one into hospitality on match days (freeing up space in the clubhouse) and a medical room, but nothing has been decided as yet.

“We are now looking at ways to raise the money, but if anyone has any ideas about potential sponsors for the project or anything that might help, please let us know".

Eccleshall - the first annual Jake Standbridge Memorial junior tournament has been arranged to take place at Pershall Park on Saturday 4th May.

Teams at under 6s, 7s, 8s and 9s level can enter, with trophies presented to the winners, and there will be refreshements available and events taking place throughout the day.
