As part of our continued commitment to improving standards around the Hallmark Security League we are delighted to confirm that we are offering a number of coaches around the League a place on an FA Level One in Coaching Football Course.

Following discussions with representatives from The FA, County Football Associations, Clubs and within the League Management Committee we put together our Development Plan with an eye on progression, quality and evolving the league.  The plan was submitted to the FA who approved the plan and as a result they support our vision to provide opportunities for coaches to back up their existing knowledge with a Football Coaching Qualification provided by 1st 4 Sport.

In May the Liverpool County FA will be running on our behalf a Level One Coaching Course (known to some as Level one badge) and the schedule is set as such as not to clash too much with the season, World Cup and holidays!

Places are open to all clubs, it does not matter who you affiliate to, it is a course Operated by the Hallmark Security League but provided by the Liverpool County FA and Qualified FA Coach tutors.  There is no cost to the clubs.

The course has limited places so we would ask that for this course there is a maximum of 2 Managerial/Coaching staff maximum from each club in the Hallmark Security League and they must be involved in some way in the first team.  They will need a F.A.N Number and be able to commit to each of the sessions and dates listed in the schedule.  If the Coaches/Managers have already done either or both of the Emergency Aid or Safeguarding 8a then they will not need to attend those evenings, proof will be required via their FAN No.

We appreciate that Many of our club Managers and coaches are very experienced and have done the job for long periods, however with club licensing on the horizon, Clubs and Academies asking for qualifications for salaried positions and leagues further up the pyramid encouraging Coaches to take higher qualifications we feel this is a great opportunity to back that knowledge up and get a Nationally Recognised Qualification.

Some of our Committee Members have done the course and found it a valuable exercise, it also gives coaches access to the Licensed Coaches Club as well as a large number of Coaching session plans which will assist with any coaches training session portfolio.

We have contacted the clubs direct so if you are a coach at a NWCFL Club further details are available via the Club Secretary as well as via Gary Langley, League Development Officer.

We recognise that the Coaching quality within our league is one of its strengths and we will be looking to also stage further CPD Coaching events similar to the ones we held in 2017 at various County FA facilities to assist coaches with their personal Development.  An announcement on those dates will be made soon.  It is also important to us to give coaches an opportunity to develop and get some hours in as well as access to free or subsidised coaching courses and are happy to do that where available via our Development Plans.
