Nelson - the club confirmed this week that Alex Norwood has stepped down as manager of the Admirals.

Norwood took over first team duties during last season having worked as U16s and U18s Manager for 2 years at the club. Norwood's all conquering Youth Team have won 5 trophies in 2 seasons as Little Wembley with a number of youth players having stepped up into the first team squad.  Following relegation last season Norwood continued in his capacity as First Team Manager but decided to step down from his role this week.

1874 Northwich - a club scarf now adorns the wall of a pub next to Burscough's Victoria Park, after a group of supporters visited before the first League game.  After talking to the Landlord about 1874, why they were formed and how they go about their business, he asked for a scarf to put up on the wall and a supporter duly handed one over. It now has pride of place on the pub wall alongside various others.

Ashton Athletic - the club are staging a Football Fun Day run by coaches from Manchester City on the morning of Saturday 23rd September.  The session is aimed at Reception and Year 1 children, and any parents interested shoudl contact the club for more details.

Maine Road v Abbey Hey FA Cup tie - following the abandonment of Monday night's Preliminary Round replay, the tie will be restaged at Brantingham Road this coming Monday 28th August, with a 7.45 pm kick off.

Also, Saturday 2nd September is the date for the next round of the FA Cup, and will involve the winners of the tie playing at home to Altrincham.

If Maine Road lose the above game, the scheduled league fixture AFC Darwen v Maine Road will go ahead as arranged, and Abbey Hey will play the cup tie.

If Maine Road win then there will be a new league fixture, Abbey Hey v AFC Darwen (brought forward from Tuesday 10th October) while Maine Road will play the cup tie.

Chadderton - the home game with Silsden on Tuesday 29th August will be played at the Kensite Stadium, home of Atherton Collieries, with a 7.45 pm kick off.  The game has been switched due to the ongoing pitch maintenance work at Andrew Street.

New Mills - the club have announced that replica shirts are now available for supporters to order, priced at £22 for adults and £16 for children. Orders can be placed in person at the club, or by email. 

Player movements - the weekly summary of player movements and registrations across the league will commence being published on Friday afternoons with effect from this week, and ongoing throughout the season.
