Just five games took place at the weekend, with the aftermath of Storm Doris wreaking havoc with the fixture list.
There was a significant result at the top of the Premier Division, moving three points clear of Bootle to head the table after a 5-0 win over Congleton Town at the Kensite Stadium.
Ben Hardcastle and Vinny Bailey put Colls two up inside 33 minutes, and once Jordan Cover added a third early in the second half, the outcome was never doubt. Hardcastle and Bailey both doubled their tallies on the day to round off an important result for Colls.
All the goalscoring action took place in the first half at Potteries Park, where Hanley Town and AFC Liverpool shared a 2-2 draw.
Emini Adegbenro gave the Reds a 3rd minute lead, which was cancelled out by a Dan Cope equaliser for Hanley Town on 13 minutes. Kieron Brislen then restored the visitors' lead before Theo Stair slammed home a rebound from a penalty six minutes before half time.
In the First Division, Stockport Town kept up their unbeaten run under manager Dave Wild with a 2-1 over Sandbach United at the Stockport Sports Village.
A deflected shot gave the Lions an 11th minute lead they held for only a minute before Boris Melingui equalised for Sandbach. The decisive goal arrived on 27 minutes when Conor Downes slotted home moments after Town had a penalty claim waved away by the referee.
A few miles away at Cheadle Town, a second half goal from Anthony Hall secured a 1-0 win for Bacup Borough over their hosts, and in the one game played on Friday night, a Josh Eastwood goal after 37 minutes earned a win by the same score for Silsden over Chadderton.
