Just four games in the Premier Division and eight in the First Division took place on Saturday, after rain and snow swept in across the northern half of the country on Friday.
In the Premier Division, Atherton Collieries moved level on points with Bootle at the top of the table after a 3-1 win over West Didsbury & Chorlton at the Kensite Stadium.
Martyn Andrews had given the visitors the lead, but a Gareth Peet equaliser just before half time took the sides in level at half time, and second half goals from Jordan Cover and David Sherlock secuerd the points for Michael Clegg's men.
1874 Northwich lost a bit of ground in their promotion chase after being held to a 1-1 draw at Maine Road. A Tom Bailey goal in the 84th minute appeared to have settled the game in the Greens' favour, but Christy O`Brien struck home a 25 yarder in the 88th minute to earn a point for Road.
A remarkable opening half at Brocstedes Park saw Ashton Athletic establish a four goal lead after 20 minutes before eventually leading 5-1 against Barnton at half time, a score that remained until the final whistle.
Adam Gilchrist and Daniel Regan both scored twice and Matthew Farnworth added another for Athletic.
Ryan Ledson opened the scoring with 10 minutes to go for Irlam at home to Congleton Town, but a last minute equaliser from Declan Fletcher ensured Town headed back down the M6 with a point.
With their nearest rivals inactive due to the weather, Whitchurch Alport extended their lead at the top of the First Division table with a 4-0 home win over Ashton Town. Elliot Ledwards opened their account in the first half, Wesley Nelson doubled the advantage just fater half time and two late goals from Simon Everall rounded off a good afternoon's work.
Litherland REMYCA moved into third place with a 3-0 home win over Carlisle City. Two goals in the opening seven minutes from Colin McDonald got them off to a good start and Colin Quirk completed the scoring with a third goal in the 24th minute.
Sandbach United remain in the final paly of spot, although they went down 2-1 at AFC Blackpool, with Jack Williams scoring both goals for the home side.
Cheadle Town recorded a fine 5-2 win over Silsden at Park Road, Justin Pickering scoring twice and a last minute winner from Jamie Hodgson earned Holker Old Boys a 1-0 win at Atherton LR.
Luke Edwards scored the only goal of the game in St Helens Town's 1-0 win over Eccleshall, and goals from Daniel Gregory and Craig Naylor appeared to have put Daisy Hill in the driving seat at home to Chadderton, but Aaron Scholes and Leon Iluobe both scored in the last four minutes to earn a points for the visitors from a 2-2 draw.
The revamped Stockport Town squad continued their progress with a 1-1 draw at home to Bacup Borough. Ben Halfacre put Town ahead but Bacup's Alexander Nwachuku ensured a share of the spoils with an equaliser in the 72nd minute.
