The FA has forwarded a Circular from FIFA requesting that all leagues remember the victims of the plane crash in Colombia on Monday at games this weekend.

The communication reads as follows.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to inform you that following a proposal by the FIFA President. the Bureau of the Council has agreed that a minute’s silence should be held at every football match this coming weekend in memory of the plane crash in Colombia last Monday which, among others, claimed the lives of players and officials of the Brazilian football club Associagäo Chapecoense de Futebol while travelling to Medellin to play the final of the Copa Sudamericana.

The Bureau also agreed that all players should be requested to wear black armbands to commemorate this tragic accident, which has touched the entire football world. We would therefore be grateful if you would communicate this decision to the competition organisers in your association for action.
