The first full league programme of the season produced a minimum of two goals in every game and a host of talking points across the two divisions.

In the Premier Division, Irlam and Padiham share top spot after they followed up opening midweek wins with a 1-1 draw at The Ambitek Stadium.

Reece Pearce gave Padiham a half time lead, but Christian Lawlor rescued a point for Irlam with a second half leveller.

Tucked in behind them are ten teams on three points, with the eye catching result of the day comnig at Squires Gate, where the home side won 4-1 against 1874 Northwich, Ric Seear scoring twice.

Jason Carey, Connor Belger and Emini Adengbenro were among the familiar names on the scoresheet for AFC Liverpool in their 5-2 home win over Barnoldswick Town, and there was a notable win for New Mills, who tasted a league victory for the first time in 489 days with a 4-3 win over Cammell Laird 1907.

Tom Peterson, Jackson Ellis and Kieran Halligan were on target for Bootle in their 3-0 win at Barnton, and the other away wins featured players scoring twice.

Two first half goals from Craig Cairns set Runcorn Town on the way to a 3-1 win at Hanley Town, and the only names on the scoresheet at Darwen, Nelson and Winsford United were Brian Matthews (Congleton Town), Jordan Cover (Atherton Colls) and Ashford Blake (Abbey Hey) respectively, who all secured 2-0 wins for their sides.

The games between Runcorn Linnets and West Didsbury & Chorlton, and Ashton Athletic and Maine Road, ended in 2-2 draws.  

In the First Division, Litherland REMYCA top the table after goals from Jake Connor and Michael Boyle earned them a 2-1 win at Eccleshall, while six clubs trail behind on six points.

Alsager Town continued their high scoring start to the season with a 4-1 win at Charnock Richard in which Michael Lennon scored a hat trick.

Holker Old Boys drew level on points with Whitchurch Alport after a 3-0 win over their Shropshire visitors, and Chadderton did likewise with Widnes after a 2-1 win at the Select Security Stadium, goals from Matthew Crothers and James Curley earning the win.

There was a dramatic finish to the game between City of Liverpool and Bacup Borough, with goals from William Webb and Michael Smith in stoppage time snatching a 3-2 win for the home side in their first home league game.

Highest scorers of the day were Silsden who beat Ashton Town 6-0 with six different players on the scoresheet.

Two goals from Lee O'Brien helped Stockport Town to a 3-1 home win over Carlisle City, and two of the league's new clubs both picked up their first league wins on the road, Prestwich Heys winning 4-1 at Daisy Hill, and Sandbach United won 3-1 at Atherton LR.

Jack Harris scored twice for FC Oswestry Town at home to AFC Blackpool, but magnificent long range strikes from Matthew Richardson and Matthew Muscroft earned a 2-2 draw for the visitors.

Comeback of the day was at Cheadle Town, where the home side were 3-0 down to St Helens Town as the game moved into stoppage time, but grabbed a point thanks to three goals from Samuel Noar, Liam Tongue and Joseph Shaw.
