NWCFL Stats Update: Week #3

Our resident Statistician Kevin Lawton has returned from a well earned break at the Commonwealth Games to bring us a few milestones from the last two weeks.
Overall Milestones
Padiham’s defeat at home to Burscough was their 1,000th league game.
Vauxhall Motors made it 500 games in the win at Irlam, which was also their 250th away game.
Squires Gate scored their 1,750th goal with the victory at Litherland REMYCA.
Ashton Town scored their 1,950th goal in their 2-1 defeat at Steeton, Colm Lynch with a 75th minute penalty.
Jason Walker’s 53rd minute penalty for Holker Old Boys was their 1,800th goal.
Cleator Moor Celtic’s defeat at home to Daisy Hill was their 50th in the league.
Darwen FC’s first goal in the 2-1 win at home to Steeton was their 750th goal.
Maine Road conceded their 2,350th goal when winning 2-1 at New Mills.
Home Milestones
AFC Blackpool now have 1,200 home goals after the 3-0 win against Ashton Town.
Avro scored their 150th with the 1-0 win at home to Lower Breck.
Cammell Laird 1907 conceded their 250th home goal when losing to Stockport Town
Away Milestones
Charnock Richard conceded their 150th away goal in the defeat at Prestwich Heys.
Sandbach Utd’s defeat at Brocton last week saw them concede their 150th away goal.
Congleton’s late equaliser at home to West Didsbury & Chorlton was the visitors 350th conceded away goal.
Goal Heroes
Four recent hat-tricks in the Prem: Lewis Gilboy for Bury FC in the 5-3 win at Padiham, Kyle Schorah with three of AFC Liverpool’s six at Burscough, Dontai Gabidon hit three of West Didsbury & Chorlton’s five at home to Barnoldswick and Matthew Bryan scored all three of Wythenshawe Town’s goals in the win at Kendal Town.
Scott McGowan netted all three as Stockport Town won 3-1 at Cheadle Town and Sam Smedley got three for Abbey Hulton as they beat Foley Meir 7-1.
