A busy week of North West Counties Football League action this weekend as most of the sixty sides are due to take to the pitch. With the recent storms now hopefully in the past several clubs will be looking to continue where they left off before all the rain fell around the counties.

Golcar United host Garstang in the only Friday night game of the weekend with the fixture being played at Avro. The 3G pitch helping Golcar United catch up on league games after the storms damaged their pitch.

Top of the table side 1874 Northwich will be wanting to continue from where they left off last time out as they welcome Whitchurch Alport to the Townfield ground. At the Rylands Recreational Ground second place Rylands host Longridge Town as they look to close the gap on the table toppers.

Third place Bootle travel to Skelmersdale United, fourth place Charnock Richard welcome Runcorn Town and fifth place Ashton Athletic host Winsford United.

At the bottom of the table, Litherland REMYCA look to climb off the bottom of the table as they welcome Congleton Town to the Sports Park. REMYCA know that they need a win and results elsewhere to go their way as second-bottom Hanley Town host Padiham.

Elsewhere in the division Barnoldswick Town host Avro, Burscough entertain Squires Gate and Irlam play host to Northwich Victoria in their first home game in a month.

In Division One North eight games are due to take place with Ashton Town and Nelson the only two teams without a game this weekend.

At the top of the division Lower Breck entertain eleventh place Daisy Hill and second place Emley travel to fifteenth place Atherton Laburnum Rovers.

Promotion chasing Pilkington will be hoping fourth place Shelley drop points at AFC Darwen whilst they visit Chadderton.

Third place AFC Liverpool visit twelve placed Holker Old Boys and sixth place AFC Blackpool travel to Steeton who will be looking to climb off the foot of the table.

Eighteenth place Bacup Borough will be hoping to pull away from the relegation zone as they welcome a Cleator Moor Celtic team who only sit one point in front. St Helens Town will be hoping to climb out of the bottom two as they welcome Prestwich Heys to the Arcoframe Stadium.

In the First Division South, nine fixtures are due to take place with FC Oswestry Town and Cheadle Town being the two sides without a game.

Top of the table Vauxhall Motors will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table as they entertain Sandbach United.

Third, fourth and fifth are all level on points going into the weekend as clubs look to close the gap on the top two sides. Third place Wythenshawe Town travel to Eccleshall, fourth place Stone Old Alleynians host Alsager Town and fifth place Abbey Hey welcome Ellesmere Rangers.

Bottom of the table St Martins will be wanting to close the gap on second-bottom as they visit Maine Road in ninth place.

West Didsbury and Chorlton play their first home league game since February 1st as they welcome Barnton to Brookburn Road and just across South Manchester Cheadle Heath Nomads entertain Abbey Hulton United.

New Mills will be looking to pull away from the relegation zone when they host Stockport Town and Cammell Laird 1907 play host to Wythenshawe Amateurs where the hosts will be looking to leapfrog the visitors.
