Another Saturday, and it was another win for the weather as more than half of the games were postponed, but for the teams that were action it was a thrilling day up and down the region.

Shelley booked their place in the Macron Cup Semi-Final as they held off a spirited Ellesmere Rangers outfit 3-2.

With most of the NWCFL Premier Divison called off, there were only three games on. Runcorn Town moved a step closer to the promotion places as they dispatched Hanley Toen 3-0, with all the goals coming in the last twenty minutes.

Whilst Rylands and Litherland REMYCA, and Whitchurch Alport and Skelmersdale United all drew 1-1, a goal in each half of both ties split the points.

Golcar moved up to seventh in the standings in the NWCFL First Division North with a 2-1 win over Holker Old Boys with 128 watching on.

In the other game, St Helens Town raced into a 2-0 lead but was eventually pegged back by AFC Liverpool to a 2-2 draw in a thrilling tie.

First Division South league leaders extended their lead to ten points with a convincing 4-0 away win at St Martins whilst Abbey Hulton United shot up to 14th in the table after coming from behind against Maine Road to win 2-1.

The NWCFL action returns on Tuesday evening with a whole host of NWCFL action up and down the region.
