When Sam Knowles of AFC Darwen hit the back of the net in the 21st minute of their 3-0 home win against Holker Old Boys, it was the clubs 650th league goal and on Wednesday night, Runcorn Town conceded their 550th goal when Hanley Town scored in the 78th minute as the sides drew 1-1.
Goal scoring heroes this week:
Just one hat-trick this week. Trailing Northwich Victoria 3-0 at half time, Scott McGowan hit three in the second half to rescue a point for 1874 Northwich in front of a new seasons best crowd for the 19/20 NWCFL season of 557.
One that was missed last week, Richard Tindall hit three for Cheadle Heath Nomads in their 4-1 win at Alsager Town, the first hat-trick by a Nomads player in the NWCFL.
Appearance Stats for this season
In the Premier Division, just five players have now started every league game for their respective clubs:
Marcus James (Runcorn Town), Lee Dovey (Longridge Town), Stephen Wolhuter (Rylands), Brandon Barski (Northwich Victoria) and Jacob Higham (Squires Gate).
In addition, Joshua Nicholson (Ashton Athletic), Sam Marshall (Winsford Utd) and Joshua Pollard (Squires Gate) have appeared in every league game.
Lee Dovey and Jacob Higham have actually started every game for their respective clubs this season, Stephen Wolhuter is just behind having been on the field for every game, but once as a sub in a cup game.
In Division One North, just three players have started all league games:
Rhys Hardacre (AFC Liverpool), Jamie Ramwell and Jacob Ridings (both Daisy Hill).
Bradley Sixthsmith (Prestwich Heys), Neil Weaver (St Helens Town) and Nathan Tayo (Golcar Utd) have appeared in every league game.
Rhys Hardacre is the only player to have started every game, whilst Bradley Sixthsmith and Jamie Ramwell have played some part in every game.
In Division One South, again, three players have started every league game:
Andrew Jones (West Didsbury and Chorlton), Aaron Tyrer (Cheadle Heath Nomads) and Harvey Collins (Eccleshall).
In addition, Joshua Dickin (Abbey Hey) has appeared in every league game.
Aaron Tyrer is the only player to have appeared in every game for his club – he has actually been in Cheadle Heath Nomads’ starting eleven for them all.
