Just before last Saturday's game between New Mills and Barnton, Darren McKnight of New Mills was presented with the award for Macron NWCFL First Division South player of the month for November, by NWCFL Director Stewart Taylor.
Here is the reason he was nominated:
Position: Centre Midfield
Games Played: 9
Man of the Match: 2
Goals: 0
Assists: 3
Reason for Nomination: "Darren McKnight has been outstanding this month he has played every fixture and when a team is now winning its a credit to the lad that he puts in 100 per cent and never fails to perform. He encourages the younger lads and motivates from the start of the game to the end. His experience when teams need to dig in and grind out results is a credit to the lad. Whilst we understand with the result he is unlikely to win the award understandably his efforts both on and off the pitch has been outstanding."
Well done to Darren for his efforts in November.
