Danny White has yesterday left NWCFL First Division North side Prestwich Heys after a four year association with the club.

A statement from the club says, "He joined Heys during the treble winning season of 2015-16 as the club lifted the Manchester League Premier Division title, Gilgryst Cup and Bolton Hospital Cup.

Although suffering a couple of nasty knee injuries in his time, Danny went on to make 112 appearances, scoring 33 goals.

His most prolific season came in the 2017-18 season where he scored 19 goals in 43 appearances proving an influential figure as Heys reached the League Play Offs and the won the North West Counties Division One Cup. However, he missed the last few games, including the Cup Final when suffering one of those knee injuries against Whitchurch Alport in the crazy end of season run that saw Heys play 23 games in 52 days.

Danny was a real leader as a Captain and then this season he became joint Assistant Manager to Jon Lyons.

He leaves with the thanks of everyone and we wish Danny good luck for the future."

Their first game without Danny will be on Saturday when they face Garstang at the Adie Moran Park.
