Just eleven of the schedule twenty-four NWCFL games this midweek went ahead as the weather took its toll on the fixture list.

Monday saw just one game go ahead with Cheadle Heath Nomads winning away at Stockport Town in the First Division South, moving Andy Gray's side up to tenth in the standings.

Just 24 hours later, in the same competition, a late Christian Sargeant injury-time penalty saw league leaders FC Oswestry Town rescue a point away at Abbey Hey. Whilst in the NWCFL top flight, Charnock Richard moved just four points off the top of the league with a 3-1 victory against promotion hopefuls Bootle.

In the West Riding County Cup 2nd Round, it was an all-NWCFL affair as Barnoldswick Town squeezed passed Steeton 4-2 on penalties after the game ended 2-2 - all the goals coming in a frantic second half.

Elsewhere, Shelley lost 3-2 against NCEL outfit Worsbrough Bridge Athletic in the Sheffield and Hallamshire Senior Cup 3rd Round and St Martins exited the TJ Vickers Premier Cup 1st Round losing 5-1 to Allscott.

Wednesday evening saw four games go ahead, with Pilkington recording an injury-time 3-2 win against Holker Old Boys in the First Division North, whilst in the South division, Alex Jones scored in the 95th minute for Barnton as they drew 1-1 with Alsager Town.

Emley AFC made it through to the 4th Round of the Sheffield and Hallamshire Senior Cup after a comfortable 4-2 win against Jubilee Sports, meanwhile, Prestwich Heys came from behind in the Macron Cup 2nd Round against AFC Darwen to eventually win 2-1.

Lastly, just the one fixture on Thursday witnessed Nelson and St Helens Town thrash out a 1-1 draw in the First Division North.

On Saturday, 56 NWCFL sides are in action across all three leagues and the Macron Cup - fingers crossed the weather doesn't have much of an effect on games.
