Just 13 NWCFL games took place over the last two days - but with plenty of action up and down the region, it was another entertaining matchday.
Tuesday saw nine fixtures across three different competitions. In the NWCFL top flight, the top two sides 1874 Northwich and Bootle both recorded victories, 2-1 over Hanley Town and 3-1 against Barnoldswick Town respectively.
A 67th minute Marcus James finish secured a narrow win for Runcorn Town against Burscough, whilst Congleton Town moved up to 11th in the standings following their 3-1 win at Charnock Richard. Lastly, Squires Gate recorded a late 2-1 win against Northwich Victoria.
In the First Division South, Wythenshawe Town recorded an impressive 9-0 away win at Abbey Hulton United, meanwhile Sandbach United defeated Stockport Town 5-2 and a second-half brace from Jack Coop turned the tie around at St Martins as Maine Road recorded their fifth victory of the season.
Unfortunately, Golcar United exited the West Riding County Cup at the 1st Round stage as they were defeated 3-1 by NCEL outfit Yorkshire Amateur.
On Wednesday evening, four further fixtures took place as now third place Whitchurch Alport kept up the pressure at the top with a 2-1 win over Avro. Meanwhile, in the First Division South, Stone Old Alleynians and Cheadle Town thrashed out a one-all draw.
Cammell Laird 1907 went all the way to penalties against Poulton Royal after a 3-3 draw and came out 3-1 winners on penalties.
Eccleshall hosted Stoke City in the Staffordshire Senior Cup 1st Round in front of a record crowd of 475, but it just wasn't too be for Kyle Adams and Craig Bould's side as they went down 3-0 in a spirited performance at Pershall Park.
On Friday evening, the action returns to the NWCFL with three Macron Cup 1st Round ties, then on Saturday, 50 sides compete in the same competition on what is set to be a thrilling afternoon's worth of action.
