FA Cup Preliminary Round fixtures will see nine of the 13 NWCFL teams away from home as they attempt to reach the First Qualifying Round.

One NWCFL team will definitely be in the hat for that round of the FA Cup, with Charnock Richard hosting Longridge Town at Mossie Park.

These two locked horns on Wednesday evening when a Paul Turner hat-trick helped Longridge overcome Charnock Richard 3-2 - Carl Grimshaw scored both of Charnock's goals.

1874 Northwich were beaten 4-2 by Irlam at home on Tuesday evening and they welcome Handsworth Parramore to Townfield on Saturday.

That defeat meant Whitchurch Alport stayed above the reigning Macron Cup holders, despite their 1-1 draw on Monday at home to Congleton Town. Alport travel to Coleshill Town on Saturday.

Irlam, who will be delighted with the big away win, are on the road to Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Skelmersdale United recorded their first league win of the season on Wednesday when they beat Phil Stafford's Litherland REMYCA 3-1.

Both sides are in FA Cup action this weekend, with Skem facing NWCFL Premier Division champions City of Liverpool, and REMYCA travelling to face Sheffield FC.

Northwich Victoria are one of the few NWCFL sides at home, and after a 2-0 loss to Runcorn Town in midweek they will hope to make home advantage count when they host Prescot Cables.

Runcorn, on the other hand, face Radcliffe and will be looking for their fourth consecutive win.

After falling 2-1 to Hanley Town on Monday, Winsford United are in FA Cup action when they play Ramsbottom United.

Burscough held Rylands to a 0-0 draw on Tuesday meaning the top three in the Premier Division all dropped points in midweek, and Nick Matthews' side are away at Trafford next.

The only NWCFL side remaining in the FA Cup who aren't in the Premier Division is West Didsbury & Chorlton, and after coming from 1-0 down to beat Cheadle Town 2-1, they look to take their momentum into their away trip at Stalybridge Celtic.

Finally, Padiham lost to Squires Gate on Tuesday evening and will look to bounce back when they welcome Marine to the Ruby Civil Arena.
