On Saturday, Avro welcomed back Bruno Miguel Da Silva and his family as club guests for the Macron Cup game against Wythenshawe Town at the Vestacare Stadium.

Playing for Wythenshawe Town at the same venue in September, Bruno sustained a serious head injury during Avro's 1-0 win in the Manchester Premier Cup tie.  Bruno suffered two skull fractures, one on each side and also fractured his eye socket. He suffered memory loss and had bleeding on the brain which contributed to his extended stay in hospital.

Bruno is thankfully on the road to recovery, and Avro FC Chairman Rob Fuller was on hand to make Bruno a presentation on behalf of Avro FC.

As a self-employed delivery driver, Bruno will be unable to work for some time due to the injuries he has sustained, and a celebrity benefit game for Bruno is being held at Wythenshawe Town on Sunday November 25th.

A host of celebrities will join a Bruno Miguel Da Silva XI at Ericstan Park, with the game kicking off at 1 pm.

Tickets will be priced at £2 per person and can be paid at the gate on the day of the game. There is also an opportunity to play on the Celebrity team with the highest bidder of an auction winning that place. To secure your place in the team please email your bid (starting at £150) to media@wythenshawetownfc.co.uk
