Newcastle Town's success continues with their Under 18s side clinching a place in the final of the Midland Floodlit Youth League Cup.

The Town youngsters faced a difficult semi final tie against Conference North side Gloucester City and in an even first half grabbed the only goal just before the break through Nathan Sutton (pictured below).  Town had the better of the second half but were unable to increase their lead. They now meet AFC Telford in the final at Solihull Moors FC on Monday 3rd May KO 7.45pm.

Having already beaten teams like Chasetown, Kidderminster Harriers and now Gloucester City the future looks bright for Castle as their youngsters start to come through into the First Team squad.

Six of them have been involved in First Team games this season and one has been a regular with Meir KA in the Midland Combination League. All of them are regulars in Castle's successful Reserve side who all season have been in the top three of the Staffordshire Senior League, which is a feeder league into Division One of the Vodkat League.

It does not end there for the youngsters who next week play Pelsall Villa in a Midland Youth League top of the table clash.  Victory will mean that they will only need 3 points from their final two games (if Pelsall Villa win all their remaining games) to clinch the title and probable promotion into the Premier Division.
