Chris Smith's opening goal for Newcastle Town in their 6-0 win over Flixton was Town's 1750th league goal.  The victory extended Town's record breaking winning sequence since the start of the season to 18 league games.

Saturday 21st November 2009

Squires Gate's 1-0 win at Abbey Hey was their 700th league game.

Ashton Town's Steve Edwards scored four of his side's goals in their 6-0 win at Rochdale Town, and the last of those in the 90th minute was Town's 600th away league goal.

Paul Macari's 49th minute goal for Norton United in their 2-1 defeat at Atherton Collieries was United's 200th away league goal.

Finally, the 1000th league goal of the season was scored during the games on Saturday, and after league statto Paul Cowburn identified that it was going to be the 35th goal scored on the day that hit the landmark, he was then faced with the task of working out which one that was.

After painstakingly checking the times of all the late goals across the games, Paul was finally able to identify that it was Squires Gate's Isaac Kusaloska who grabbed the 1000th goal with his 78th minute strike against Abbey Hey.
