Alsager Town's Paul Willis became the second goalkeeper with a Vodkat League team to score in a competitive game this season, when he grabbed his side's fourth goal in their 4-1 win at Flixton on Saturday.

In the 53rd minute of the game, Paul sent a long clearance downfield which bounced once before going over the head of the Flixton keeper, to put his side 4-1 up.

He follows in the footsteps of Padiham's Sean Davis, who earlier in the season scored in the dying seconds of the Storks FA Vase replay at Bacup Borough.

There must have been something in the air on Saturday, as another goalkeeper with NWCFL connections also scored - FC United goalkeeper Sam Ashton, who played for the Reds during their time in our league, scored the opening goal for the Reds in their 4-0 win at Retford with a long clearance from his own penalty area.
