Bits And Pieces

Ramsbottom United - Former Rammy player Matt Edgington, who was seriously injured in a brutal and unprovoked attack two years ago, will be continuing his incredible return to fitness and health by undertaking a reverse bungee jump.

For those not aware, a reverse bungee jump involves being thrown in the air in a cage rather than being dropped off the edge of a cliff, and Matt will undertake the challenge on Sunday 19 February at The Lockkeeper in Radcliffe, to raise money for Christie's Hospital in Manchester.  Any wishing to sponsor Matt can do so via the fans form on the Rams website.

Padiham – The Storks have installed an improved public address system at the Arbories, after obtaining a Ward Opportunities Funding Grant from Burnley Borough Council to undertake the work.  On the field, the club’s Ladies team failed to reach the final of this season’s Lancashire FA Womens County Cup competition when they lost in the semi-final to Blackburn Rovers Ladies at the Arbories a week last Sunday.

Squires Gate – Gate player-manager Russ McKenna has confirmed by AFC Fylde loanee Isaac Kusaloska will be sidelined for up to a month with a torn hamstring.  Russ said: “Isaac’s been playing well and scored a great goal for us against Ashton Athletic.  We’ll certainly miss him”.

Both Kusaloska and Danny Monckton are now expected to play out the season at School Road, after both came on loan from Kellamergh Park just prior to the Christmas period.  Russ added: “They are with us now until AFC Fylde recall them, which is great news for us”.
