It has been a massive seven days for Warrington Rylands 1907, their win in the Buildbase FA Vase Quarter Final last weekend over holders, Hebburn Town has put them 90 minutes of football away from a Wembley Cup Final.  They called in the big guns in their preparation as Derby County Manager, Wayne Rooney dropped in at the Padgate Sports Complex this week to share some inspirational words ahead of the game.

Rylands Press Officer Garry Clarke captured the moment and also tells us about how fans wanting to watch the game can source the stream....

A special guest popped into training at Warrington Rylands 1906 on Tuesday ahead of their Buildbase FA Vase semi-final against Walsall Wood.  England’s record goalscorer Wayne Rooney, currently manager of Championship side Derby County, visited Gorsey Lane to talk to the players as they prepared for Saturday’s game.  His visit was a great boost to the players as Wayne posed for a couple of pictures and gave a couple of tips to the players.  As someone who is no stranger to high pressure games he was able to talk a lot about mentality and game management.

Saturday’s semi-final is to be played behind closed doors due to the government’s covid restrictions virtual tickets to watch the game priced £5, including donation to St Rocco’s can be purchased using the link below:
