Town Announce Partnership With Tranmere Rovers

Ashton Town have announced a partnership with Tranmere Rovers to offer a full time football and education programme for 16-18 year olds.

As well as playing football, students will be studying in BTEC Sports Coaching and fitness, and will have the opportunity to work towards FA Coaching badges.

The scheme will present opportunities in a variety of different areas including:

Coaching opportunities at Tranmere Rovers in apprenticeships and full time employment, from community to the academy from u9-u18 and maybe 1st team.

Employment and apprenticeships in sports and fitness in the gym at Tranmere or as a sports analyst.

Opportunities to become a professional football scout.

Chances to play abroad in USA and Canada in sports scholarships, playing and coaching.

Opportunities to progress to New Zealand, Australia, Spain and Holland playing and coaching. Trips to Northern Ireland, Barcelona and Holland have already arranged.

Opportunities to play semi professional and get a job within Tranmere Rovers football club.
