New Management Team Appointed At Barnton
Fri 20th May 2016 | Barnton | By Ian Templeman
Barnton have announced the appointment of former Eccleshall manager Steve Lloyd as their new manager.
Steve will be joined at Townfield by Mike Alcock, who will be his assistant.
The duo replace Danny Meadowcroft and Brian Pritchard, who left the club earlier in the week to join Widnes, after steering the club to promotion in last Saturday's play off final.
Speaking on the club website, Steve Lloyd said: "I’m delighted to have become the manager here at Barnton.
"The Club has a steep history and its recent progression has been nothing short of phenomenal. Under the stewardship of Ian Ross, the Club has grown significantly and I can only applaud his achievements in his time here.
"I’d also like to congratulate Dan Meadowcroft for the way he managed the team through to its successful finish that led to its promotion and a Cup Final win.
"His role may have been interim, but the way he handled the situation deserves real credit. Both Ian and Dan have left a great platform and opportunity for us to work off”.
