Managerial Vacancy At Eccleshall
Tue 15th March 2016 | Eccleshall | By Ian Templeman
Eccleshall manager Steve Lloyd has informed club officials and players of his intention to stand down from the role at the end of the season.
Steve informed the club’s committee of his decision following the home match against Daisy Hill on 5th March.
Interim Chairman Bob Lloyd reluctantly accepted Steve's decision and his reasons for this, while acknowledging the professionalism and hard work he has brought to the job since joining Eccleshall FC.
Bob said: "Steve has developed a great spirit in the changing room in his time here and has earned the respect of everyone at the Adverc Stadium. While we are disappointed that we are losing Steve, we wish him well for the future and he will always be welcome here".
The search now begins to replace Steve, and Club Secretary Jim Tunney said: "The post will be advertised in the local press and other media outlets this week, and the club will welcome applications from suitable candidates to become manager of our first team in the North West Counties League.
“We are looking to hopefully appoint before the end of the season which would allow the successful applicant to come in alongside Steve for remaining matches, meet the players and get to know the club".
Interested parties are asked to contact Jim on 07842 138252 for further details. The closing date for applications has been set for 24th March 2016.
