Silsden will be hosting their first ever Carol Service at the Angel Telecom Stadium on Wednesday 23rd December.

The service will begin at 7 pm and will last around 45 minutes to an hour, giving plenty of time to bring children and get them home to bed at a good time.

The bar in the club house will be open and tea, coffee and mince pies will be on sale, with proceeds from the sales being donated to Manorlands Hospice.

The hospice is situated in the village of Oxenhope, and offers support and palliative care to people living in Craven, Airedale, and Wharfedale as well as central, northern and western areas of Bradford.

Silsden Press Officer Jim Rosser said: “As a Charter Standard Community Club we take our position in the town very seriously.

“After the huge popularity of our 1914 Centenary celebration, we have decided to hold probably the first ever Carol Service at the football club, presided over by two of our local church leaders.

“We also wanted to hold the service during Christmas week to give an even greater excitement for the children at this special time.

“The service is open to everyone, and anyone who can spare the time to come down will be made very welcome”.
