AFC Blackpool have been awarded FA Cup prize fund money, as a result of Northwich Victoria playing an ineligible player in the First Round Qualifying tie between the two clubs on Friday 11th September.

Northwich Victoria won the game 4-0, and progressed to the Second Round Qualifying against Hyde United on Saturday 26th September 2015, a game in which the player in question also played.

An FA Sub-Committee have decided not to remove Northwich Victoria from the competition, and ordered the Second Round Qualifying tie to be replayed to a conclusion at Hyde United on Saturday 10th October 2015.

The Sub-Committee acknowledged the fact that AFC Blackpool did not have the opportunity to progress in the competition and decided that Northwich Victoria should forfeit the prize fund payment for the First Round Qualifying, and awarded that payment to AFC Blackpool.

League Secretary John Deal said: "The League Management Committee are disappointed at this decision, and give the circumstances, believe that AFC Blackpool should have been reinstated into the competition.

“We have been in contact with the FA to make them aware of our view, and they have responded to say that our comments have been noted".
