There may be just five Premier Division matches this week, but the top four are all in action.

Early leaders Barnoldswick Town, who've won five of their first six games, welcome Winsford United to the Silentnight Stadium. Barlick are enjoying a fine run of form, having won their last three games with victories at West Didsbury & Chorlton 1-0, AFC Darwen 5-1 and Squires Gate 3-0. Winsford are coming into the game off the back off three consecutive draws having faced Cammell Laird 1907, Bootle and Abbey Hey.

Second placed 1874 Northwich take on last season's runners up Runcorn Linnets at Barton Stadium. 1874 have enjoyed a good start to their league campaign with four wins from their first five games.

Runcorn Linnets have also enjoyed a positive start to their league season with three wins from their first four league games (minus the abandonment of their game away to Congleton Town).

Alsager Town, cup heroes on Saturday after their impressive FA Cup win against Shaw Lane Aquarforce, take on third placed Nelson. Despite excellent wins in the FA Cup, the Bullets are winless in three with a draw against 1874 Northwich the only point they've picked up in the last three matches.

Nelson are unbeaten in four, having beaten Bootle and West Didsbury & Chorlton and drawn with Ashton Athletic and Squires Gate.

Top of the Form Guide with five wins and a draw to date, Colne will face the tough challenge of Abbey Hey who are themselves in fine form with four wins in the last six matches.

Both teams have also enjoyed upsets in the FA Cup with Colne winning impressive away to Tadcaster Albion 5-2 and Abbey Hey defeated Evo-Stik side Warrington Town, themselves a side that reached the Second Round proper last season.

Last, but by no means least, is Bootle v AFC Darwen at the Delta Taxis Stadium. Joe Doran's side will be looking for their first win in five as they've lost three of their last four since they beat Runcorn Town on August 17th. AFC Darwen will be buoyed by the arrival of new manager Neil Prince who oversaw his new side's 7-4 dismantling of Maine Road on Wednesday night.
