New Appointment At Bacup Borough

Bacup Borough have announced the appointment of Joel Downings as the club's new Press & Media Manager.
Joel takes over the role following the departure of Jay Taylor at the end of last season.
Joel brings with him experience in the field, having worked as a social media executive in the past before deciding to undertake a Football Business & Media degree at UCFB, where he is currently in his third year.
A club statement sad: "The club would like to wish Jay Taylor the best as he looks to begin a career in football and welcome Joel to the club as he starts his journey in the football industry. We hope his past experience plus his education will help take the club’s social media and press department to new heights".
Joel is under no illusions of what a hard act Jay will be to follow.
“I’m aware of what a great job he did at the club in his two seasons here and hope I can live up to the expectations he’s left me with", he said.
"I can’t wait to start this exciting new chapter in my career, my first in football and hope my past experience can help build on the impressive platform Jay left behind.”
