Local Firm Supports REMYCA

Litherland REMYCA have been given a helping hand towards achieving the required ground-grading at Litherland Sports Park thanks to the generosity of a local firm.
A 75 metre Tarmac pathway leading to the covered spectator accommodation was laid by Dowhigh Ltd, Sefton-based Civil Engineers and Resurfacing Experts.
REMYCA Chairman Don Rimmer explained: "The demands of meeting ground grading through the FA when competing in non league are difficult and expensive.
"Having completed the pathways some months ago, we were then advised a bound surface was required meaning significant financial outlay. Given this was finance we did not have, I approached Trevor Murray, Director of Dowhigh, to see if they could help in some way.
"The response of the company has surpassed anything we could have expected. The pathway has been fully laid with Tarmac without charge. The work gang pulled out all the stops and completed the job efficiently and with good humour.
"It was also a pleasure to deal with Mr Murray who could not do enough for our club. We are extremely grateful to all concerned for this great gesture, a fine example of a locally based company giving back to sport in the community. They are obviously a company with good values and deserve massive credit.
"We will look to reciprocate in by promoting the Dowhigh name through the season on our website, matchday magazine and social media sites. This relieves a lot of pressure and means we will meet our ground-grading for next season.
"Thanks again to all the good people at Dowhigh Ltd".
