Ashton Athletic have announced the appointment of Taffy Roberts as their new club Secretary.
Taffy makes the move after almost ten years of involvement at Wigan Robin Park, where he was a founder member as Secretary in 2005.
Taffy said: "I feel that I did need a new challenge, and Ashton Athletic advertised for a Secretary. Alan Greenhalgh has left for pastures new at Skelmersdale United, so it's a hard act to follow.
"I'm looking forward to extending my eight years working relationship once again with Jason Foulds, and also with Ben Kay and Dougie Pitts who were players at Wigan Robin Park.
"With a large, hard working committee to work with, I'm hoping for a bright future".
