Colne's reserve team completed the double on Sunday afternoon when they beat Brighouse Town reserves in the final of the Galaxy Lancashire League Cup.

The final was played at Hurst Cross, the ground of Ashton United, and the Reds won 4-2 in an exciting game with goals by Lee Barrett, Jason Hart, Michael Woodvine and Ted Cockett.  The Yorkshire side replied with two goals by Isaac Baldwin, but Colne ran out comfortable winners in the end.

The cup is their second trophy this season as they wrapped up the league title a couple of weeks ago, finishing in top place five points above FC United of Manchester in a tough league.

Congratulations to manager Dixon Lambert and coach Liam Smith for completing a league double.
