Town Support Red Nose Day

St Helens Town have joined forces with the club’s main sponsors Johnsons Toyota Liverpool in support of Red Nose Day 2015.

Town are playing their part in this year’s Red Nose Day 2015 by supporting a number of fundraising activities in the build up to 13th March 2015.

Every two years, since 1988, Red Nose fundraising for Comic Relief has been inspiring the nation to help change the lives of people in the UK and Africa, culminating with a fun-filled night of TV comedy and entertainment on 13th March 2015.

Toyota GB have become an official partner of Red Nose Day 2015, reflecting their global vision and commitment to improving lives around the world. The whole Toyota family is getting together with each Centre taking the opportunity to reach out to their local community to raise funds.

As an official partner for Red Nose Day, Toyota is the exclusive retailer of Red Noses for cars – with the aim of raising £1 million through sales and other fundraising. Available from the 29th January to March 13th,

Red Noses for cars are available from Johnsons Toyota Liverpool showroom and from Brocstedes Park, home of St Helens Town AFC, on match-days at £5 each with the whole £5 going to Comic Relief.

‘Every £1 Counts’ is also key to raising funds and the club will have Red Nose Day fundraising buckets available at home games between now and the 13th March.

Town will be encouraging their players, supporters and officials as well as those of their visitors to get involved on match days with lots of photographs being taken with the Red Nose Day ‘Selfie’ frames!

The St Helens Town match-day programme ‘The Marksman’, website and social media channels have been re-branded will contain updates on fundraising as well as photographs of anything RND. 

St Helens Town supporters and sponsors can also help with Red Nose Day fundraising by texting TYOT57 £2 to 70070 (this could be any amount up to £10) with all money going to Red Nose Day.

The club are also looking to produce a fundraising video with the Red Noses for cars being a central theme as the players and staff go about their business at training, match days, etc. 

Club Chairman John McKiernan said, ‘This is a superb opportunity for St Helens Town to get involved and show our support for Red Nose Day along with our main club sponsors Johnsons Toyota Liverpool who have been long-term partners of our club.

‘We’ve got some great plans for activities over the next few weeks and hopefully we can play our part in having some fun and raising much needed funds for a great cause".
