There's plenty of good news to report regarding our clubs' progress in their various local County FA competitions this season.

Ashton Athletic - the club's Under 16's team has once again reached the final of the Lancashire FA Under 16's Youth Cup, giving them the chance to defend the trophy they picked up last year.

The young Yellows reached the final in impressive style beating Lytham Juniors 7-0 in the semi final, having already beaten last year's other finalists Bamber Bridge. They will now play either Elton Vale, Whelley Alexandra or Britannia AFC under 16s in the final, on a date to be arranged.

Daisy Hill - the club's under 18's team will be looking to finally beat the weather this weekend, and play Ramsbottom United Under 18's in the semi-final of the Lancashire FA Under 18's Youth Cup.  The tie has twice been postponed.

In the senior County Cups, there's plenty of representation in the latter stages of the various competitions.

Manchester Senior Cup - Irlam in the semi final

Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy - Holker Old Boys and Atherton Collieries in semi finals

Liverpool County FA Senior Cup - AFC Liverpool will host Bootle in the semi final.

Mid Cheshire Cup - Winsford United and 1874 Northwich in semi finals.

Derbyshire Senior Cup - Glossop North End in the quarter final.

West Riding County Cup - Silsden reached the quarter final.

Cheshire Senior Cup - still in the early stages of competition but at least three of our teams will be in the quarter finals, and there could be as many as five.
