The League Management Committee is pleased to announce that Paul Lawler has been appointed Vice Chairman of the NWCFL.
Paul’s involvement with the League spans almost 25 years, beginning when he took over as Programme Editor/Press Officer at Formby FC, and became the youngest club Secretary in the country at the age of just 15!
He held down various roles at the club over the years, and in more recent times has been responsible for heading up the continual redevelopment of the League website, while also fulfilling the roles of League Development Officer and Results Co-ordinator.
Paul said: “I'm honoured to have been elected as Vice Chairman of The North West Counties Football League.
“It is a position which has been held by a number of well known characters over the years including Bob Eccles, the late Alan Farnworth and more recently John Cowley. I have big shoes to fill, but look forward to working with the Chairman and Committee, and of course with clubs”.
League Chairman Dave Tomlinson said: “The League Management Committee is delighted that Paul has agreed to accept the role of Vice-Chairman. He has a long history of involvement with our league both as a club and a League official, and I am sure that his contribution will be extremely valuable”.
