Abbey Hey are looking to trace the owner of a gold signet ring, which was handed in behind the upstairs bar in the Abbey Hey clubhouse after the game against Bacup & Rossendale Borough on Saturday.
Abbey committee member Gordon Lester said: “A supporter at the game had earlier asked if one had been handed in, and at that time was told unfortunately not.
"The gentleman left no name or address, and even thought he could have lost it elsewhere.
“Myself and my assistant behind the bar would instantly recognise him if he came forward to collect his ring, as he had a well grown beard. If he sees this message could he please contact me on 0161-370-0270, or on my mobile number 07554133165”.
